Some quick info on the Raffle Party for this year as well.....
Doors open at 4 pm on Saturday, June 24th. Feel free to bring a dish to pass and/or an item for the live auction. Free food, soda, water and beer all night! Live music! Raffle drawing at 6pm, followed by door prizes and a 50/50 raffle, then the live auction. Live music by Wisconsin legend, Tuck Pence (acoustic sing and dance) from 8 pm until midnight. Matt Z. will be our auctioneer this year and Jeremy O. will be making his famous flip flop chicken, plus MHWF will be providing plenty of other food as well. Feel free to set up your camper or tent the night of the party as well!
And remember last year when the raffle tumbler was a tiny bit too small.....no more issues with that this year..... (Last year's on the right, new one on the left).
Ok I freely admit my ignorance. News of Jeremy O. has not reached my ears so someone needs to tell me about his renowned flip flop chicken. Or chickens. What is it how is it made what's it taste like how's it that he does it and are there any other inducements like juggling twirling a hoola hoop or doing it in the snow nearly nekkid? Sometimes a person just needs to ask.....
Jeremy O. very generously offered to make his flip flop chicken, which we here is excellent and we took him up on his offer. We have never had it either, but it comes highly recommended and he often gets hired to make it for events and weddings. While we do not know the details, we do know that it will be grilled right here, on site, that day....it is going to be good!
Rumor has it that Jeremy wears an apron when he cooks the flip-flop chicken. Only an apron.
Possibly, just possibly, the flip-flop is a special of grill http://www.flipflopgrill.com/
If I'm right there will be no handstands, cartwheels or nudity
Ewww. He said he's wearing the apron and chaps. I'm not sure this is going to draw people in or scare them away.
The flip flop chicken is put between two grates, basically, and then it's flipped and flopped over charcoal. It tastes like chicken. If anyone wants to volunteer to juggle, hula hoop, or dance naked, feel free.
I am going to be there!
Planning to bring a pan of dessert and potentially some kind of auction basket. I certainly have enough horsey stuff sitting around. Horse I am most looking forward to seeing in person...... Chester. See you all tomorrow!!
Check out this Rice Krispie treat creation that Jennifer, my nephew's girlfriend, made to bring to the party!
