Adoption day pics will be posted in about a week when they come back to pick Lady up.
Oohh...am I putting two and two together? Did the two lovely mares go to the same home?
Nope, no ties there...one appointment yesterday and another really cold appointment today.
Congratulations Laura and Lady!! Such a beautiful mare and wonderful pictures!
Congratulations Laura! Lady is a stunning mare. Best wishes for a great future together!
Wow, I've been away from the forum for a couple days but what an awesome day to return. Adoptions, adoptions, and Gracie starts chapter 3 of her life!
Congratulations to Laura and Passion Lady. The smile on your face and the look in Lady's eyes tell the story. So happy for you.
Yay for Laura & Lady!!! They look so wonderful together! I had to try to avoid eye contact with both Laura & Karen today as had our eyes all met we may have all had tears everywhere. A joyous day! Where the girls are now boarded (along with Mystique, 2 other geldings of mine plus 5 other student's horses) is the stable I work out of. Ryan takes wonderful care of the farm & is the owner/manager. I take care of things when he is on the road. Don't want to take credit for all of Ryan's hard work running the place! I'll let Laura post her own updates on Lady. We left them tonight happily munching hay. Lady & Gracie will be in the same herd. Mystique only had one opening in her herd & we decided since Gracie & Lady already knew each other that it would be nice for them to have each other's support when turned out tomorrow morning ;)
Congratulations Lady and Laura!
Congratulations. Such an exciting day. Have fun getting to know your new best friend!
Thanks for all the good wishes everyone! A longtime dream come true! I can't tell you how full my heart is right now! Many thanks to Karen and Scott at MWHF for loving all the horses and connecting horses with people! I also have to say a big thank you to Karen W. of Adoration Equine, whose support and guidance have made this possible. .
Lady & Gracie did a great job on the trailer ride home. We explored a bit with the girls and got them settled in with fresh hay and apples. Ryan, who owns/runs the farm where Lady & Gracie are now boarded, does an excellent job of caring for all the horses. The community of Karen W's students at the barn are so welcoming & warm- a lovely group of people & their horses. I am looking forward to getting to know Lady- she is sweet, curious, and social :) There is a lot to learn. Our kids are very excited to have a horse in the family and my husband said, who knows what goodness and positive energy this horse will bring to all our lives? After such an exciting day, I got in the car to head home and the song, "This is Going to Be the Best Day of My Life" was on the radio- I'll post updates about Lady as this adventure continues to unfold. Many blessings to Scott & Karen at MHWF, Karen W., and all the supporters of MHWF!
Congratulations to Lady & Laura!
I am so happy for these horses but gotta say I have that little twinge of envy...best wishes to all!

Congrats Lady & Laura!! Love the pics!!
Yay, congrats, I can't wait to meet them. I've boarded my gelding Houdini there for wow, its got to be over 5 yrs now. He's currently in the rough board paddock with Karen's two geldings. Congrats!
$400 - Passion Lady is a 23 year old Arabian mare who will be turning 24 this summer. We know her very well and she has been part of MHWF for a very long time. She stands at 15.1 hands tall, is very sound, healthy and as well broke as a horse can get, having been used as a trail horse her entire life. Passion Lady is drop dead gorgeous and is in top notch shape with a lot of good years left in her for someone looking for a been there - done that trail horse. She is super polite and easy going. She has always had excellent care and has no special needs. Looking for a nice looking, safe trail veteran you can hop on the trails with tomorrow....Passion Lady might be the horse for you. We simply cannot say enough good things about her and are very happy to still be a part of her life all these years. Passion Lady was returned because her elderly pasture mate needed to be euthanized, her adopter did not want to get another pasture mate and Lady would have been miserable living alone. Welcome Back Lady! Wow, someone is going to get very lucky with this mare.
Welcome back pretty girl. Love this mare.
Would Passion Lady be a good horse for beginners or children to ride?
Such a nice mare! Certainly does not look her age!
Is lady registered?
Lady is registered, yes. As far as riding, just about anyone who has ridden before can ride her. She is not an old plug and is in excellent shape, but has always been a very solid, very experienced trail horse.
