I've put off posting this, mostly because this is it. The final post on Woody's thread. We put our magical unicorn to sleep on June 25th. We picked a beautiful day for him to be laid to rest. He is missed beyond words. Below is Joe & Woody's very first and last picture together.

So sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed your posts about Woody. It is easy to see he was very loved and cared for. You gave him his best years. I hope you find comfort in that
How heartbreaking. Words of condolence never seem to be sufficient when you lose a piece of your heart. I’m sorry.

So sorry to hear about your loss.
I'm so sad to read of Woody's passing. I have enjoyed reading about your special relationship over the years. Joe and Jenn, I am genuinely sorry for your loss. Woody was an amazing horse.
My regrets, Jenn and Joe.
Oh, this makes me so sad for you guys. I'm so sorry.
Whenever I have seen Woody's name on this site I think of two things, his and Joe's bond and the years-ago posts about Woody helping your son with his reading. What a special thing this guy was for your family (and in our own, more-distant way, for many of us out in cyber-land, too)! All my sympathy. Nothing about this is easy.
Thank you so much everyone. You are so right Jan, Woody in some ways belonged to all of us. I remember how many people came together to help us get thru the Midwest Horse Fair, it was definitely a village. Woody was just one of those horses that gave his happy out to everyone he met and I miss him so much, can't even write this without tearing up. Such a very good boy.
