Karen, I get the feeling he enjoys being photographed, too. Always looks as if he is modeling. He knows he's your partner! Very cool photo

Thanks guys...love sharing Mista.
You know, he really is a camera ham.  He is always such a good subject when I need to try different shots because I can always count on him to be very interested in me and that camera, and those ears always smiling too really helps.

Love the photos in your journal & the "painting" image is awesome!  Mista is looking wonderful in his new spring coat & looks to be enjoying himself tremendously!  What a success & testimony to MHWF!

I've said it over and over- but I have to say it again. Karen, you are amazing! I love this new photo of Mista. What a photogenic guy. The painting is beautiful too. I love reading your journal. Give Mista a hug for me.

I always enjoy the pics of Mista and reading of his adventures.  And I say a silent prayer of thanks every time I walk past that dark, filthy barn the boys used to be prisoners in....it sits empty now,  and I am relieved that it does.

To Mista, Mac, and Sileque, Happy Anniversary.  One year of freedom and a new life for each of you.  And good wishes from me for many, many more.

June 26, 2009 was Mista's 26th birthday and his 3rd anniversary with MHWF (he arrived to us right on his birthday 3 years ago).  He has become such an important part of MHWF and our animal family.  There have been many threads here on the forum with tidbits about Mista, but I found this one that seemed the most appropriate to post to.  I have really slacked on his journal over time and as I have gotten so busy with other things, but I surely do update it from time to time yet.

I guess I just wanted to say Happy Birthday and Anniversary to Mista and share a very recent pic of him since I haven't done that in so long.  Mista loves his pasture and it is the most peaceful pasture anyone could ask for.  I went out in the pasture very early on the first day of summer, the 21st, as I wanted to get some foggy pics.  I didn't make it out until a bit after 6:00 a.m. so the fog had already left, but I did catch Mista in the early morning sunrise on that steamy morning.

Happy birthday buddy, and many more!

Happy birthday to Mista!!!

Has it really been three years?  Wow...time flies!  He looks great....funny how much better a horse can look with good care.  He looks better older than he did younger!  And that is a beautiful photo, Karen....so peaceful and serene.

(And I have to say, Karen, that that is the most beautiful photo I have ever seen. Mista looks like a horse out of a fairy tale!)

Happy belated birthday Mista Man!

The horse out of a fairy tale comment is really fitting...after all, his story is sort of fairy tale-ish. He is living happily ever after.

Great picture Karen!!!! WOW!
