We are very thrilled to announce that Stormy was adopted today!!!!! She was adopted by a friend of ours who is also a very accomplished trainer who lives in southern Wisconsin. Normally it would have taken much longer to get a horse like Stormy adopted, but we know this person well and know that they have the knowledge and abilities to continue with Stormy's training. Stormy loaded up like a pro and was very relaxed on the trailer. Now this made room for little Janie Doe to move into the paddock area, so Janie is now in the paddock area with little Caramel (who is on a no-pasture diet) as a companion, and everything has gone beautifully! No attempts whatsoever by Janie to get over or through the fence or even test, so all is well, and they can both go in and out of the big run-in stall on the barn and things are going very smoothly.
Thank you so much everyone! We are so happy that things are progressing so well and Stormy is on to the next step of her new life. We will keep you updated on Stormy and Janie's progress.

We have heard from the folks who took Stormy home and she is doing very well there already. She behaved like a pro in the trailer (only her second time ever in a trailer) and unloaded nice and calm while being led to a paddock.
Since she was being such a good girl, then decided to work with her a little bit right away and she did wonderfully. From what we hear, they are in love with this little mare. Let's hope she continues to thrive in her new home. What an amazing couple of months it's been for this little gal. From living 5 years in a muddy round pen with no human contact or shelter to a new home, good feed, people paying attention to her, you name it. It must be a whirlwind going on in Stormy's head.
We are also very happy to say that Janie is doing really we also. She has now been in the paddock for two full days instead of bouncing back and forth from stall to roundpen. She has not attempted to escape and seems to be enjoying having a buddy and a way to come and go in and out as she pleases. What a looker she is becoming as well!! Growing like a weed, looking sleek and shiny and all shed out with good weight on her. She turned out jet black with a long mane and forelock as well. Her pictures don't do her justice. She looks incredible! She's as sweet as they come as well and her turnaround has been moving along very quickly. It won't be long before she is able to be turned out with the rest of the herd and is available for adoption!!

It's Stormy's turn for a little update. My sister, Sandy K., was kind enough to go over and snap some pictures of Stormy today as she lives in that part of the state, and she got them sent to me already here tonight (she is loving her new DSL after having dial-up for so long). 
Stormy is doing FANTASTIC! She really trusts her adopter, Lalo, already and they are sharing a very good bond. He did get to experience that "I don't feel like being caught" Stormy yesterday, but things are going so well for them, it is just amazing. She follows him around like a puppy dog and really bonded with him very fast.
Well, since it's past my bedtime and I can barely type any more, let's just say it with pictures here.
