Today is Friday, September 11. Hard to believe it's been 8 years since the fall of the World Trade Center and even harder to believe they still haven't gotten it back up. I remember that morning like it was yesterday and can still remember the way the world looked so different to me after that day.

Anyway, so it's Friday. Karen and I have no plans after works today...kind of a nice change for once. We are happy about the appointments we do have though. We are showing Princess tomorrow and on Sunday we are showing Trico, Figaro and a few others. Let's hope a few faces are marked as adopted after the weekend, especially some faces that have been looking for homes for a long long time like Figaro. We have a horse coming in on Tuesday night and another coming in within the next few days. There are a few more here and there as well.

Someone dropped off some beet pulp and molasses yesterday. It was nice of them, but no call, no email, no knock on the door. We have no idea who it was. If it was you, please let us know.

Have you all noticed the trailer that was donated that we have for sale? Nobody has asked about it as of yet, but we wanted to say what a great deal it was. It is worth just under $3000.00 and we are letting it go for much less than that. The best part is that if you purchase it, the funds from the sale of it go directly toward the care of horses like Figaro, Limmerick, Trico, DJ and all the others that have been here a while waiting for their new homes. Heck, buy it and resell it at a profit or buy it and use it as a trade in for the trailer you are looking for. I am certain that our asking price is low anough to make it worth someone's while. The trailer is in pretty nice shape and has good tires. All the wiring has been redone and all the lights work. Anyway....if your lookng for a decent trailer, consider this one. It's a very good deal.

We also have some sad news to report. This past Sunday, Mary, a long time resident of MHWF passed away. We are told there were no signs of collic or struggle, that she simply went down sometime during the night and was found the next morning. Mary was in our care for 5 years and we got to know her very well. We never expected her to pass like this and she will be greatly missed.

That's about all we have for today. Yesterday we had another 56 round bales hauled in. That gets us really close to having all our hay for the winter here and ready. Now we can concentrate on getting it paid for before the bank has to come looking for us. Any and all donations to the Hay Drive are great appreciated.

Thank you.

We have had a lot of adoptions lately, so the site is looking a little bare lately, but that's ok. There is a backlog a mile long of horses waiting to come in yet. It's just a matter of getting the horses that are adopted on their way to their new homes and getting the new ones in. One of the horses that we were expecting to come in any day has been moved back a few more weeks, so it will be a while before that one comes in. We have one a few miles down the road to go pick up and we plan to do that very soon, so that would be another one here. And, all these weeks and months, I forgot to put Timely Gal on the website. I have no idea how that happened, but it did. She is still here and can start looking for her new home. I will get her added to the site ASAP.

Due to some unfortunate family circumstances Amigo and Apache Sam came back into the program last night. They arrived around 7 pm and look great. If you have been following our site for any amount of time you are probably familiar with them both. They are both BLM mustangs that were trained and donated by Tami N. who had to move to Colorado and could not bring them with her. They were donated at different times, but ended up in the same home with the same adopter. Well now that Tami is in Colorado and all settled in, her opportunity to take one of them back came up. So guess what, Amigo will be goign back to his original owner and trainer in Colorado! Congratulations Tami! I know she is very excited and we are excited for her. Board and hauling fees are not cheap so Apache Sam will be looking for his new adoptive home. Anyone who appreciates horses will certainly appreciate Apache Sam. What a wonderful horse. I will be adding hinm to the site right away as well. That's what this program is all about. The original owner and trainer, Tami, loved and enjoyed both of these horses. Due to her circumstances, she opted to donate them. Their adopter loved them very much as well and took excellent care of them. When her life situation changed, they both had a spot here waiting for them and the whole thing goes full circle and Tami gets Amigo back, something she had always hoped would and could happen. For those people that call us and ask why would I donate a horse I could easily sell..there is your answer. We cannot make it any more clear than that. What would have become of these two wonderful horses had they not been donated here and had they not had a spot here to come back to when things changed. This program is about ensuring the healthy and happy lives of the horses in this program and we could not be more proud.

Tomorrow morning the vet will be out to do an interstate health certificate on Amigo, check Casper's eye once again and whatever else we can find for him to do. We are hoping to make Casper available soon and will update as we learn more.

While I sit here typing we are waiting on a call back from Wildwood Animal Haspital in Marshfield. Yesterday was not a good day here and we are waiting to see how it goes from here.

Yesterday morning Rocky, our Irish Setter, was run over in the driveway by a truck. She was hurt pretty badly and we had to run her to the small animal emergency center to get her stabilized and determine how much damage there is.

The news so far is not real good. She has a shattered rear hock and her left hip was pulled out of it's socket. She also has a ruptured anal gland and some internal bleeding as well as a lot of pain and soft tissue damage. As I type this now, Rocky is in surgery to try to get her hip back in it's socket and we go from there. So the next call will most likely determine whether we have a shot at saving her or if she needs to be put down. Rocky can be a stubborn strong willed pain in the butt, but I got her at the same time as this program started, so she has been part of this program since day one.

So while we wait...we might as well keep busy and keep typing.

Let's see.....Casper. Something is going on with Casper's eye that goes much deeper than allergies or a scratch. We are attacking it very heavy right now with high doses of bute, dex, and a couple other things that go into his eye each morning. We also injected the eye as well. After a few more days we will have him looked at again and hopefully can determine what's going on with that eye.

Amigo leaves for Colorado and Tami's place tomorow morning. We also have an appointment to show Apache Sam as well. Sunday morning we have Priness getting picked up and another appointment to show Tina and Timely Gal. From there it looks like Trico will go to his new home either Monday or Tuesday and we will pick up the paint mare that lives a few miles away and bring her back here. It should be a full weekend regardless.

I'm not sure I have a lot more to add this morning. We are kind of worn out and a little out of sorts after the long stressful day yesterday and the waiting game this morning.

Thanks for listening and remember to keep voting for MHWF in the online Care2 Contest!

Wednesday already.....not much new to tell you all about at the moment other than we have a horse coming in tonight. It's a 13 year old paint mare named Rosie. We are told she is sound and healthy and broke to ride. We should have her up on the site early tonight.

The photo contest is winding down with only one more week to go. Once it is over on the 30th, we will get to the process of fidning our winners. it's not too late to submit your photo(s) and keep in mind the prizes are cash prizes.

On Saturday afternoon we buried Rocky. Just to clear up some confusion, Rocky was a female. Her real name was Shamrock, but we called her Rocky or Rock most of the time. Anyway, we buried her on Saturday afternoon. WE found a nice spot in the yard, right in front of a huge 3000 pound stone that seems to almost have been put there for this exact reason. It's a beautiful under the flowering crab apple tree. We ordered a marble plaque with her pitcture etched into it and her name on it to attach to the stone. It will be a very nice memorial to a friend. Not having her around has been a real adjustment to Karen and I and the dogs too. We all kind of feel like a pack without a leader, but we will move on and are dealing with it.

We are not doing so great in the online voting contest. We are not sure why. It could be that the competetion is just that much tougher, or that a lot of folks are not voting......just not sure why. Let's all keep plugging away and doing our best. We appreciate all your effert and votes!

We got our old spot back for our booth at the Midwest Horse Fair next spring. That's a great thing. We filed late and got stuck out in left field last year. We are back now though!

Last but not least, we will be doing another fun auction sometime next month. So if you have items to donate, we can sure use them. If you need another hoodie or tee or missed out on calendars, you can get those in the next auction.

That's it for now.....take care and thank you to everyone who sent their condolences about Rocky.

Well we are back and pretty tired from a lot of driving and a little stress.

Got to Rhinelander and stopped at Meredith's house to pick up the 4 bags of beet pulp she donated. Thank you Meredith, not only for the beet pulp, but for connecting us with Riley as well. It was great to finally meet you!

Got the beet pulp loaded and headed a few blocks to the Humane Society. Went in, introduced myself, and they took me back to meet Riley. I have to admit, when I first met him I said to myself, boy he's pretty, but man is he high energy! On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being really high energy, Riley was a 15...maybe more. Not only that but he is really really thin. Karen and I have not seen a dog this thin in a long long time...years. It seems he is a pretty picky eater and being locked up must have really had him stressed out.

So I met him and went to the front to do the paperwork. Who do I see when I walk back up in the front room....our one and only Patti from right here on the forum! It turns out Patti works just a few blocks away and came there to meet us and meet Riley. She even offered to buy lunch. As stressed as I was I wasn't in an eating mood (yeah I hear you all laughing at the fat guy jokes out there...I can hear ya). Plus, I munched on junk food all the way up to the shelter. That was really nice of you Patti and really good to see you again. Thank you for the donation as well!

I had brought a friend also named Scott with me for the long drive. I think it caught him a little off guard that we could drive almost 3 hours, meet someone we knew from the forum who made the beet pulp donation, then a couple blocks down the road at the shelter, meet another friend who just wanted to show her support and meet Riley. I have to admit, it really makes you feel good to know that we can go over 100 miles away and still be surrounded by friends. Doing this job is not always fun, but when you have a day like today it really makes you feel like you are part of something special. Thank you Meredith and Patti!

Ok, back to Riley....paperwork done, in the car.....lots of moving around and business going on. About 1/2 way home he settled down and started to show his personality. He even laid down for a while and took a nap.

We got home around 4 or so......Karen got to finally meet Riley and we did chores wile dragging the poor boy around on a leash. After chores we came in the house, Riley too and tried to take a little bit to lay down and rest. After the first 1/2 hour of being frantic and wild in the house, Riley figured it right out and laid down with us for a nap. He has been settled in and very happy and relaxed ever since.

He's very sweet and knows his tricks really well. For a treat he will avidly go through his entire plethora of tricks. He's quite a character for sure. Right now he is sprawled out across the living room floor getting more of his nap in. He is very respectful in the house, housebroken with no mistakes yet and seems to get along with the other dogs pretty well. Of course Bella is making it known that this is HER house and she is the important one. He just ignores it and looks at her like "that's what you think".

So, so far so good....he's very sweet, very pretty, super smart and seems to be fitting right in already. It's just after 8pm now and I am finally getting to emails and paperwork for the day. Supper is now in the oven and we should be able to eat around 9:30 or so. The photo contest ends tonight at midnight and I have some new photos to add tonight yet before we call it a night. Karen has some more pics of Riley to share and I am sure she will as soon as I am done posting this.

We have a horse or two coming in this weekend....a Monday night Packer/Viking game coming up and hopefully better weather maybe?

Tomorrow morning we will post the rules on how to vote for the photo contest.....contest ends at midnight tonight and voting will start sometime in the morning when we post the rules and details.

Thanks for all your interest and support everyone!

Enough rain and mud already!!!!

We could use a little sun here. It's been pretty ugly outside for about a week and it doesn't look like it is going to get nice out anytime soon. What about our Indian summer? I have to re-roof parts of this house before winter comes. This isn't helping.

Well we got Riley the Irish Setter last week and Karen got her tiny tiny puppy. They are both actually doing very well. The puppy gets more and more self reliant every day and doesn't demand 24/7 attention anymore Riley is getting the routine down here slowly. He is really really thin and on a special diet of burger, rice and dog food, which he loves. He is a really good dog, super loyal. The only couple of issues we have seen so far are that he cannot be off a leash yet and probably won't be able to for quite a while. He's a high energy dog and when we are outside he doesn't listen very well. The other issue is that he is super protective over Karen and I. I think he believes this is his job now, but we can handle that on our own. So it will take some time and work to get him to be a little easier going with outside people. Not that we are worried about him biting anyone, but we don't want to have him barking at and intimidating people when they come to the farm. That's going to take some work and until he really learns this we probably won't always bring him out with us when we have appointments.....at least not when there are kids around. These aren't really a big deal yet as he needs to get settled in and learn where home is now and the rules that come with his new home. He will come around.

We have had a few good things happen besides dogs too. We got a call from a woman in Racine last week who does a fun get-together, auction and dinner for a group of about 30 to 40 friends. Every year they do a few small auction amongst themselves and pick a charity to give the money to. This year they chose us and invited someone from our Board to go speak and have a meal with them. Being that Sandy only lives a few minutes away from them, she did the presentation with her son, Bob. Thank you Sandy and Bob. $2000.00 was raised!!! Wow! Great work everyone and a special thanks to Linda Z!! As soon as the check arrives we will put it toward the Hay Drive, which will make a serious dent.
A local company also donated a huge pallet full of a variety of products. There are a few things on that pallet that we certainly can and will use. There is a lot of product that we cannot use, but some of you might be able to use. We have a lot of equine mare replacer (milk replacer) and a lot of Sweat Replacer.  If you use either of these products and are interested in some, we will make you a stellar deal on it. Shoot me an email or give us a call.

We have court next week in the case against Susan Larson regarding Mac, the Arab gelding. That should be interesting to say the least. What a pain in the butt. We have to follow this one through and intend to do just that. We will update as we learn more.

Please keep in mind we are having another fundraiser auction at the end of this month. I know there are quite a few people out there with items they wish to donate. Please make sure to get them to us and don't wait until the last minute which seems to happen at every fun auction, holding them up by a few days.  There is still plenty of time and we need your donations, so please do not forget to mail them out or contact us about dropping them off. Thank you!!

We are still working with Casper and that eye every day. I don't know if we are really getting anywhere with it. We have stuck so much time and money into it that it is downright sad and very frustrating. This has been going on for months.

There are still a few horses scheduled to come in with one or two of them coming this weekend.

Did you all watch the Packer game last night? Sure was weird to watch Favre play against the Packers wasn't it? It should be even weirder to see him walk into Lambeau Field in a few weeks. I hope the "fans" don't boo him and show a little class. He sure played like the Brett we all know last night though. The Packers did a great job too, but they were up against a little too much last night to pull that out off.

Well I suppose we should both get out butts to work....take care....please remember to vote in the online contest and if you can spare a few dollars, the Hay Drive has been stuck in neutral for a long time....we could sure use the help!

Thank you!

It's been almost a week since either of us posted here, so here goes.....

We got a very nice horse in this weekend. Did you all see Brown Eyes? Nice horse! Not a single call on her yet though. So please don't wait or drag your feet. Brown Eyes is the kind of horse everyone wishes they had more of...a horse anyone can ride, easy going, experienced and healthy.

We also had an adoption tonight as well.....a big time adoption. Baby Cakes got adopted tonight! She will stay here a few more weeks, but she will be headed for her new home at the end of the month. Her adopter promised to keep us all updated here on the forum and we are finally going to see Baby take the last big step in her new life since being rescued. What a great adoption!

The new dogs, Riley and Monty are doing well. Riley is doing well in the house, He has a lot to learn about being outside with room to run and animals everywhere, but he will learn. Monty is so tiny, but has a giant ego and is super outgoing. He's learning how things work here already though and is finally starting to sleep through the night instead of crying for his mother or litter mates. He's so tiny though...we have to watch him 24/7.

Bella and Marley are good, but Bella was a naughty dog today. She killed another baby peacock. That's kind of the final straw for her and she won't be outside unattended for a long time now. Seems when we turn our back and go out to the pasture she does whatever she wants and has now killed two peacocks. Other than that she is a very good dog, loves Riley and Monty, but we cannot have her killing baby birds and are a bit angry with her tonight.

If you read previous updates then you know we had a chunk of roof collapse on the back porch of the house this week. It took two full days, but we tore off the old roof, put on new sheeting and shingles and all that is left is new drywall where the ceiling used to be....what a mess. That back room is for storage only right now, so no hurry on getting the drywall done. We will probably do the living room and that back room at the same time sometime this winter. Both are long long overdue.

So Karen isn't feeling good the past couple days and the weather is a little too cold to enjoy, so here we are tonight...online and thinking about making some supper eventually. I had some excellent chili at Hudson's the other night and I am going to try to copy their recipe and see how close I can get to their chili....wow is that good chili.

A few quick things before we let you go....

1. Please remember to vote every day in the online voting contest and make sure to pass on the word and get others to vote every day as well.

2. Keep in mind we will have another fun auction somewhere around the end of the month. Send in your donated items if you have any and save a few bucks to bid on the auction once it does start.

3. Please do not forget the Hay Drive. We are well over 1/2 way there, but it has stalled out a bit the past month or so. Please consider a donation regardless of how big or small. WE need to hit that goal and need your help in getting there!

Thank you and keep Baby Cakes and her new family in your thoughts tonight. Her adoption is really a big deal!

TGIF!!!!

Oh wait....thank God the sun is supposed to come back out. What the heck is with this weather the past couple weeks? Mud, snow, cold, freezing rain.....all we are missing is an earthquake and a volcano and we are all set. The sun is supposed to be back this weekend, even if it is only for a day or two. We'll take what we can get.

Tomorrow is Saturday. We have two new horses coming in and one that has been in this program for years coming back. All three are nice horses and should be really popular and hopefully easy to place. No idea why nobody has called on Brown Eyes. Have you all seen her on the site and read her description? This is the horse everyone wants in their pasture. A horse that anyone can ride and a horse that can sit all summer, pull her out, tack her up and ride with no worries and no having to reteach what was forgotten. She's the horse you keep around just so that when people come over they can go riding with you. Nobody has called on her as of yet.....not sure why.

Yesterday was a long day. A family member passed away on Monday and yesterday was the funeral. It was 3 hours away, so Karen and I headed out at 6:30 yesterday morning and got back around 4 last night. Funerals are no fun, but it was nice to see family again, some of them from as far away as Texas.

At some point over the weekend we need to get Mr. Ben Parker to his new home which is about 12 miles away or so. Maybe Saturday afternoon, so that we have everything packed into one day and will have Sunday to ourselves to do whatever, maybe a ride or the Packer game. Looks like the Packers brought Tausher back......bout time. The offensive line has been a mess and is wrecking the Packer's season.

We bought a small manure spreader from someone over by Marathon and have to find the time and means to go pick it up. Our truck is just too high to get it up there and we need a trailer that is close to the ground.....no ideas yet and not sure how we are going to find the time to get over there to pick it up. Our schedule is so busy the past week or so.

Let's all hope for some Indian summer. There are a handful of fall projects that we need to get done and plan to get done, but the weather has stopped dead until it stops raining and snowing. We have to get the repairs done on the pasture shelters and get them painted then need to get the electric and heaters hooked up to the auto waterers. When we get that done I need to get out outdoor wood furnace which has been repaired, hooked up to see if it will work. That should be a big project.

Time to start putting the new fun auction together. There seems to be a lot of boxes etc, so I will go at the best pace I can, but it might take a couple days to get all these items listed. Who knows, maybe it will take less time than it looks like it will, but rest assured we will get it up and running as fast as we can.

We will need you all to help us out and send us your bids once we got have it ready. If you can't bid, email the auction to your friends and family and maybe they will find something they like or can use.

Ok, today's sermon, hehehe, is about the use of the word rescue and being honest with yourself and others. So here goes.....

Rescue:

This is a topic Karen and I have talked about adding to the forum for a long long time.

Rescue is a word that gets thrown around, used and abused on such a regular basis and grand scale that it has lost a lot of its meaning and impact. I do not think a day goes by that someone doesn't email or call and tell us about the horse or dog they "rescued". The word rescue implies certain criteria and paints a mental picture of what that animal may look like or what it may have been through. Let's be honest, most people are not rescuing anything. They are aquiring a dog or horse or are saving it from an questionable future, or......they are more often than not purchasing a horse and like to throw the word rescued out there to make it sound better or make themselves feel better about buying another horse.

While some people simply throw that term out there with little thought, we find it very offensive. If you truly rescued a horse, excellent, we love to hear that. But please don't insult us with the word rescue if the term does not truly apply. It is an insult to our intelligence and the hard work programs like ours put into horses like DJ, Gracie, Baby Cakes, Janie and a hundred other horses we have put endless time, money and energy into.

If you bought a horse from a friend or neighbor and it needed its feet trimmed or could have used a few more pounds, please don't call it a rescue. If you aquired a horse that was looking for a home but was otherwise in good shape, please don't call that a rescue.

Let's be truthful with ourselves and others. A rescue is an animal that is stuck in a life threatening situation with no help available or on its way....plain and simple. A rescue is an animal that has been physically and/or emotionally abused or neglected. It is an animal that has been abandoned or starved to death. A rescue is an animal that will need a lot of time and TLC. If you can give it an extra scoop of grain, trim its feet and hop on two weeks later for a trail ride, let's be honest and not insult the hard work of people who have been rescuing horses for months or years. Let's also not over-use the word and diminish the torture and abuse that many animals who were truly rescued have gone though. When you use the word rescue and it doesn't really apply, it is an insult to not only animals that have been abused then rescued, but to everyone who has been involved in true rescue. Just be honest with yourself and don't try to impress people or make yourself feel better by throwing the over-used word "rescued" out there unless it truly applies.

Please just think about that a second before you thow thw word "rescue" out there next time. There are a lot of people who throw their lives, their heart and their soul deeply and wholeheartedly into changing the lives of animals and abusing that word demeans their hard work and the suffering many animals have gone through.

Today we discovered almost 2 feet of standing water in our basement, so as you might have guessed, I was not able to work on the fun auction much. Tomorrow will have to work on getting this problem fixed so I will probably not have much time for the fun auction once again. It is starting to look like the auction will start on Wednesday or Thursday now.

Ps. No camo on this auction. We got prices and and Realtree is out of their mind on their prices.

Good news, there is no longer any standing water in the basement and I can now start to work on the fun auction. I would expect it to start either later on tomorrow or early Thursday.....please stay tuned and thank you for being patient.

A little over 2 weeks ago we had to go to a funeral when my Aunt Marleen lost her battle with cancer. Today her Mother, my Grandmother passed away and we will be attending another funeral in the next few days. And to think I went almost 10 years without having to go to a funeral.

Today we buried my Grandmother. I was one of the pallbearers along with all my male cousins on my Father's side. It was also my dad's birthday and we felt bad that we had to bury his mother on his birthday. At least we got to see the family which is scattered across the country. We do not get to see most of them very often and it was nice to see everyone today. It was mentioned that my Grandparents were what held the family together and the reason we did see the family now and then. With both of them gone now we all wondered what would hold the family together and how long before we all got together again.

Funerals and goodbyes are never easy or fun and today was no exception. At least the sun was shinning and for a mid-November day, it was beautiful. Grandma's body was put into the mausoleum alongside my Grandfather who's grave I have not seen since his funeral 7 years ago.

Six years ago, Karen lost her Mother in a hard battle with cancer and she is there in the same mausoleum, so we took a moment to visit her today as well. Today just seemed different and to be honest, I think we are both just glad the day is almost over. Tomorrow we can dive back into our work and try to put today out of our minds.

The vet comes out in the morning to have a look at Brown Eye's bad tooth and Sugar heads off to her new home as well. WE are just catching up on some emails and making up for a couple hours of lost work hours today, then will reheat some leftovers for supper and call it a night.

We will see you all here again in the morning....have a good night and take care.

Hello all,

We have not forgotten about this thread. We have just been very busy with a lot of things going on in the background of this program and are making some time this morning to say a few things and update everyone on what's new and all that good stuff.

Fun Auction

First off, we want to thank everyone who participated in the fun auction that just ended on Tuesday. Whether you sent in bids, donated items or both, you are a crucial part of this program's survival through these hard times and we have not forgotten that. The fun auctions have been a huge blessing to this program. Thank you to everyone who was part of our latest auction. As soon as we collect all the payments from this auction we will be squeezing in one more auction before Christmas. That means we need to get started on the new and last auction of 2009 real soon. Look for it to start within the next 2 weeks. If you have items to contribute to it, excellent. We can certainly use them. Please do not wait for the last moment to send them though. We need to get the auction started and ended in time to collect the funds and get the packages in the mail in time for Christmas....a pretty tight squeeze.

Care2 Online Contest

You all know by now that we are in the Care2 America's Favorite Charity Contest. After a long dead spell and dropping almost 20 spots, we are finally starting to climb in the rankings again. That is thanks to all of you. Thank you! We are not done yet though. If you have not yet voted, please take a moment to do that. No need to register, you don't even have to leave your name if you would prefer not to....simply vote and pass the link and info on to anyone and everyone you can think of. That's it. Here is the link to pass vote and pass on:

And last but certainly not the least............Hay Drive

Please Read!

Every year we hold our Hay Drive and the numbers can be pretty daunting at first. This year we haggled out a pretty good price on most of our hay and were able to drop that final number by $2500.00 compared to last year!

The Hay Drive has done very well, but has kind of died off and we desperately need to get it back up and rolling again. Without making it sound too terrible, we have a bit of a situation with the Hay Drive. In order to lock into the prices we haggled on the hay, we needed to borrow the money to pay for the hay in late summer. That loan is coming due right after Christmas, meaning we MUST come up with the final $2000.00 by Christmas, which only gives us a few weeks to do that.

We have hassled you all before and most of you are used to it by now, but this time is a little different in that we HAVE to get this done and we cannot be more sincere in this plea to help us get the Hay Drive rolling again. Our original goal was $9500.00 and with your help we have generated $7500.00 of that. Only $2000.00 to go!

That number sounds like a lot, but we get a lot of traffic to this site and every penny counts....donations add up quickly. With your help we can do this and we can get this done so it is not hanging over our heads over the holidays. If you can spare $5 or $500, please consider making a donation to the Hay Drive and help us put this behind us before Christmas.

Thanksgiving is a time of thanks and Christmas is a time of giving. Please give what you can. Thank you for your consideration and help in this tough economic time.

We posted this yesterday, but I don't think many people got a chance to see it because the forum went down shortly after and did not come back until just now. So we will repost it.

Also, with it being opening weekend of deer hunting and us being in the dead center of deer hunting land, we have decided that the best thing to do is shut down this weekend while the craziest part of hunting season is taking place. So we will not be setting up appointments for this Saturday and Sunday. We will be available after the weekend for appointments and questions though.

Here is yesterdays post...... (please read)

bump....

We decided that we would no longer keep this thread pinned at the top. We think more people will check it and read it if when we post to it, it comes back to the top showing that something new was posted.

Did everyone read the new post from last week about the Hay Drive?
