I have a Hay Drive challenge for everyone on here.
I challenge everyone who owns horses to send $1 for every year they have had their horse(s). I have owned Scooter for 3 1/2 years so I will send in $4 for him and Dixie has been on my property for a year so I will send in $1 for her. I know I am not sending in a ton, but if we all send in a little, I'm sure we can put a dent into the rest of this payment very quickly this way.
Paypal is a great thing!

Lets see...I'll round up Smokey & Dazzle to 3 years each, that's $6, Senora is approaching 2 years, so $2, Zar is a little over 1 year so I'll round it up to $2 & Zema is a few months but I'll round it to 1 year for $1. If I can add this morning that's $11. Sending it over!!

What a great idea for a challenge, Karen! I must admit I have not been substantially without horses - meaning even if I haven't owned one myself for a period of a couple of years I have been boarding one or more, or somehow taking care of one for somebody - my entire life since the age of 14. I can still count to that big a number (LOL!) so my amount for this challenge is 46. I'm going on vacation soon, so no pay check later this month, which means I'll send it in two parts of $23.00 each. I'll hit PayPal as soon as I am finished with the discussion boards today!

Got a $20 tip for going into work at the kennel on my day off! They said to go have a beer or two...but the hay drive is much more worthy! So meeting the challenge plus a bit more! PayPal here I come! |

I really appreciate everyone who has participated! I am however, a little discouraged that more haven't.
So, I'm putting this out there: Even if you don't own a horse, donate 1 dollar for every 2 years you have been interested in horses or, 1 dollar for every year you have used http://www.equineadoption as a resourse for your horse interest. Or better yet, BOTH!

Okay...I can finally afford to answer this challenge!  I'm behind on my sponsorship (I need to send in October) and I owe $10 for a thread hijack, so I'll add the following for my horses:
$2 each for Michael and Gabriel (Wild Thing and Mystery donkey boys)
$6 for Penny Pony (Shasta)
[all three from MHWF]
$6 each for Will and JoJo (Paso Fino/QH crosses)
$6 for Lacey (QH/Shire cross)
$7 for Aliyah (Arab/QH)
$8 for Babe (Spotted Draft)
That will add a total of $43 to my monthly pledge and $10 hijack for an extra $53 grand total for the hay drive.
