Here is a way for everyone to be able to help the horses, and it only takes a minute. In this contest you can only cast one single vote, so there is no need to vote every day. By casting one single vote you can make a huge positive impact in the lives of so many horses. You also need to pass this on to every contact that you have to get as many votes as possible.
You can win by being a top recruiter and passing this on to your contacts! The 20 people who recruit the most friends to vote for their favorite shelter win a $50 gift certificate.
MHWF had been in the running in that other contest for a while, but that is just going nowhere and another local shelter is getting all of the press for that contest, so we are going to put all of our efforts into this contest instead. I know we can do this, you guys are the best supporters in the US and I know you can do this! The last time we entered this particular contest we came so close to the #1 spot, so close, and I just know we can all do it this time around! With all of your hard work last time you did win some prize money for the horse of MHWF and you put us in the top 5 in the Nation!!!! That is awesome work and I know you can do it again!

I passed this info to all of my contacts and also asked them to pass it on to their contacts. I mentioned that this is an organization that Anna and I have followed for several years and that even if they weren't interested, I would really appreciate it if they could pass it on for the horses. |

We really like this contest a lot better than the others we have entered in the past. In this contest we can see your votes and hard work and can see where we stand in real time any any given point in the day.
The best part.....we get to read all the nice comments you all make about us and this program....and we do read them. Thank you everyone! It makes us feel good on a dreary day to know we have so many friends out there, all made through our shared love and dedication to the horses we all call part of our families.
What a cool thing this program has become in our lives.

We desperately need a bit of a rally and more folks to vote and pass it along. This morning we were at 5th place and were closing in on 4th.....tonight we have dropped all the way to 8th place.
This isn't a contest we are going to give up on....we are going to push on until we finish near or at the top. That's going to take ALL of you to vote and ALL of you to pass it on.
I personally sent out emails to over 600 people.....yet we have under 300 votes. That means the majority of people are simply ignoring the email. If you are reading this you are probably not one of those people, but we do need you to pass the word on so we can move up in the voting.
THis forum and this site do get enough people visiting to win this contest....ya just gotta vote.

Wow are we getting creamed today! WE got less than 20 votes today. We did good yesterday and were on our way from 11th place all the way back up to 8th, then with the dead day today we dropped all the way down to 14th and are going to drop even more.
Anyone else have friends and family they can pass it on to?

Over the past few days we went from 10th place all the way down to 19th place and it's looking like we are going to continue to drop.

I have been crazy busy and unable to do much of anything I enjoy. Having said that, I strictly make time for my critters and voting. It is the least I can do! MHWF rescued and rehab. 2 wonderful horses that I now have the privilege of enjoying. VOTE!  |

Just occurred to us, has anyone been posting this on some of the other forums like Wisconsin Horses etc?
After being dead in the water and dropping spot after spot, we are finally moving back up in the rankings and still have a good shot at getting back up in one of those top spots.
A good post in the right place (forums, facebook etc) or a forwarded email to the right person could get a lot of much needed votes.
So let's start a discussion today on ideas and places we can find those votes. Has anyone posted the info and link on Wisconsin Horses? Any other ideas....let's come up with a few and see what we can accomplish together!
