Thanks guys. what fun to have two of us on there in one day. It would have been really fun to have all four MHWF horses in a day.
Doreen, Danny is a horse whose story has to be told in person when you meet him. He is a pasture buddy (will never be able to be ridden) due to very bad conformational flaw from birth (very down on his pasterns) that will eventually cause major problems for him and he will have to be euthanized because of it. I do not mean to be so bleak, but that is his fate and his story. We took him in with an agreement with a friend that he could live his life here. He is still comfortable and holding his own. If you ever come to MHWF you will be sure to meet Danny and we will tell you his whole story. I will dig around for a few pics of him and post them here. Thank you for asking about him!

Well looks like Danny got edged out...smile...but both were wonderful pictures. One of these days I will make the trip up and meet the gang..until then I will have to continue to drool over pics! How sad about Danny, but I am glad that he is still comfortable currently..and has such a wonderful place to live! |

I'm sorry, I forgot to post a few pics of Danny last night. Here are a few.
From 2007, 2008 and 2009.
Here is Danny kicking it up out in the back pasture with a few of his buddies this past May when we opened that pasture up to them (they always run around and play and get really excited when we open the pastures for them)
